Some of our fondest memories have been made when gathered around the table

 

On summer afternoons when James was growing up in Ottawa, his parents would pack their five kids into their station wagon with blankets and a cooler of sandwiches, and head off to Stewart Park in Perth for a relaxing afternoon along the Tay River. Kerri spent those same summer afternoons working alongside her parents at her family business in New Brunswick and spending as much time outdoors as possible. When their worlds collided, Kerri and James fell in love and recognized that their shared beliefs in the importance of family, food, wine and hospitality would be central to their lives together. It was these shared values that inspired the creation of gather eight years later. In the summer of 2021 with their 6 year old son JJ in tow, they decided to settle in Perth to share their passion for creating a great culinary experience.

Throughout their respective careers in restaurants James and Kerri have developed a belief that a great restaurant is about more than just food or drink. It's about an experience. It's about a feeling. It's about feeling like you're an old friend even if it’s your first visit.  It's about doing something FOR people to enhance their experience. James and Kerri share their hospitality through food and wine. gather seeks to fulfill the desire within us all to connect. To spend meaningful time with each other alongside the simple pleasures of modern, wholesome, comfort food.
